Roney, Eugene H., 1840-ca. 1914.
Biographical notes:
Roney, a native of New York, enlisted as a private on June 6, 1861 in Col. Edward D. Baker's California Regiment, which became the 71st Pennsylvania Infantry. He received a disability discharge on February 1, 1863. Apparently Roney recovered and enlisted in the 189th New York Infantry on September 21, 1864, serving until June 1, 1865. Roney married and settled in New York.
