Biographical notes:
Elizabeth Brown was born in Dunn County, N.D. where she grew up. She became a teacher and married Walter E. Leroy in 1933. The family moved to Fargo in 1942 where she raised four daughters, and she was employed at various businesses. She was a prolific writer and active in the North Dakota Peaceworkers. She died in Fargo in June 2003.

Elizabeth Brown was a native of Killdeer, N.D., and after college she taught school until she married in 1933 to Walter E. Leroy. The family moved to Fargo, N.D. in 1942. After her divorce she raised four daughters and was employed at various jobs in Fargo. She died June 2003.
