Celebration Lutheran Church (Anacortes, Wash.)
Biographical notes:
The foundation of the Celebration Lutheran Church began with a small gathering of people during Advent 1993. Word spread of the Advent gatherings and soon the homes were filled to overflowing. The group decided to stay together after the Advent season and meet on Sundays and were constantly gaining new members who liked the small group centered worship. In March 1994, a group of Celebration members met with the ELCA and discussed organizing a church. In the summer of 1994 Pastor Larry Olsen became the part time pastor. In 1997 the congregation recieved their first full time Mission pastor.
