Biographical notes:
James Stark was a British landscape painter. He entered the Royal Academy in 1817 and exhibited his paintings with the Norwich Society of Artists (as a member since 1812). He worked in London from sometime after 1827 to 1839, in Windsor (1839-1849), and in London again until his death.
