Biographical notes:

George Lansing ("Lance") Taylor, Jr. is a native Floridian, born in Live Oak, FL. His family moved to Jacksonville when he was six years old. Taylor attended private and public schools in Jacksonville and graduated from the University of North Florida (UNF) in 1974 with a B.A. in Computer Science. He received his M.B.A. degree from UNF in 1986. With the exception of a brief stint in the private sector, Taylor has worked at UNF since 1974. Initially hired as a computer lab assistant, he worked his way up to his current position as Associate Vice President and Chief Information Officer. His interest in the photography of historic architecture had its beginnings in 2000 and has developed over the years from an early focus on United States Post Offices to his broadened objectives of today, where his primary focus is on structures that are listed on the National Register of Historic Places. His current interests include historic county courthouses, lighthouses, houses of worship, fire stations, libraries, banks, and movie theatres.
