Lawyer; district court judge; director, vice president, and president of Concord (Mass.) National Bank; trustee of Middlesex Institution for Savings; president of Middlesex Mutual Fire Insurance Company; resident of Concord and active member of local boards and committees. Born in Concord in 1858 to John Shepard and Martha Lawrence Prescott Keyes; died in Concord in 1943. Married Alice Reynolds (d. 1927) in 1881 and Grace Cahoon Boutwell (d. 1936) in 1928.

Lawyer, District Judge, town politician and businessman of Concord, Mass. Born (1858 Mar. 26) and died (1943 Oct. 24) in Concord. Son of John Shepard Keyes and Martha Lawrence (Prescott) Keyes. Married twice, first to Alice Reynolds (daughter of Rev. Grindall Reynolds) July 6, 1881. Lived in the Bullet Hole House on Monument Street 1866-1881; in 1895 purchased corner lot of Main Street and Nashawtuc. Graduated from Harvard College 1879; studied law with Charles H. Walcott and at Harvard Law School; admitted to bar 1882. Practiced law in Boston 1883-1918. Active member of First Parish in Concord.

(Cont.) Chairman of Concord Selectmen, School Committee, and Committee for the Sesquicentennial Celebration of 1925. Trustee of Concord Free Public Library (President 1932-1943). Trustee, Middlesex Institution for Savings; Director and Vice President, Concord National Bank; President, National Bank, Middlesex Mutual Fire Insurance Company, and Lynn Mutual Fire Insurance Company. Special Justice (1894-1910) and Justice (1910-1930) of District Court of Central Middlesex. Admitted to Social Circle in Concord, Feb. 18, 1890.
