Variant namesBiographical notes:
24 Hour Comics Day is an annual, worldwide challenge to complete a 24-page comic within a 24-hour period. It began in 1990 as a challenge Scott McCloud initiated between himself and friend Steve Bissette. Through word of mouth and the sharing of work, the idea generated such interest over time that it became an official, national event on April 24, 2004. Within the next three years, 24 Hour Comics Day evolved into an international event, garnering participation from over 1,000 comics in eighteen countries each year. More information about 24 Hour Comics Day's history may be found at the event's official website: www.24hourcomicsday.com .
