Biographical notes:
Newton College of the Sacred Heart was a four year liberal arts college for women, founded in 1946. The school was conducted by the Sisters of the Sacred Heart. Due to financial difficulties, Newton College ceased to exist and was consolidated into Boston College in 1975.
