Biographical notes:

Jacob Landau worked as an artist, illustrator of children's and adult books, and as an instructor or artist-in-residence at several colleges and universities. He was the recipient of many large commissions, had one man shows and participated in group shows. His work is in many permanent collection including those of the Whitney Museum, the New York Metropolitan, the Library of Congress. Among his literary awards and honors are the Boys Club Junior Book Award (1951), the American Institute of Graphic Arts "Children's Books" (1967-68), and others.
