International Union, United Automobile, Aircraft, and Agricultural Implement Workers of America. Local 1315 (Charles City, Iowa)

Dates:

Biographical notes:

UAW Local 1315 was originally Local 115 of the United Farm Equipment and Metal Workers of America (FE) at the Oliver Tractor plant in Charles City, Iowa. In 1949 the FE was expelled from the CIO and the UAW began to raid Local 115 after merger talks failed. The FE merged with the United Electrical Workers (UE), but when UE District 8 dissolved Local 115 merged with the UAW and became Local 1315.
