Ray Amberg, Ph.C. in pharmacy (1920) University of Minnesota. Director of the University of Minnesota Hospital (1935-1964). Raymond Michael Amberg was born in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1895. He earned his pharmacy degree from the University of Minnesota in 1920. From 1921-1924 Amberg was a pharmacist at the University of Minnesota. In 1924, he was appointed as assistant hospital manager. He served as hospital manager (1929-1932), assistant director (1932-1935) and director of the University of Minnesota Hospital from 1935 until his retirement in 1964. He was involved in various organizations, including serving as president of the Minnesota Hospital Association (1940), the Minnesota Tuberculosis and Health Association (1952-1956) and the American Hospital Association (1958-1959). Ray Amberg died in December 1968.
