Ellen Swepson Jackson was the founder/executive director of Operation Exodus, a program to bus inner-city students from Boston to suburban schools. She is co-author of Family Experiences in Operation Exodus, Inc. (1967), and since 1978 has served as dean and director of affirmative action at Northeastern University.
