A partnership formed for the purpose of procuring gold from California; home secretary: Lewis W. Ross.
The association consisted of 6 emigrating partners and 8 home partners. Home partners' initial investment was $1,800. Ross was a lawyer and oldest son of Lewistown's founder, Ossian Ross.
