YWCA overseas secretary and executive.
Born Norfolk, Massachusetts, 1906; B.A. Boston University, 1929. Active in YWCA since 1925, attended training school for rural secretaries, 1929; worked as YWCA secretary in Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Montana, San Francisco, 1929-42; on National Board and International YWCA staff as Advisory Secretary, 1945-71, including Advisory Secretary to the YWCA of the Republic of Liberia, 1952-59, and advisor to New England area, based in New York City, 1959-63; Correlator, Southern Region, for nine southern states, based in Atlanta, 1963-65; Associate Executive Director, Program National Headquarters, New York City, 1965-71. Retired 1971.
