Biographical notes:
The Alpha Xi chapter of Phi Sigma Alpha was chartered in Iowa City on April 30, 1970. The club had been meeting informally for two years. As membership grew the women met monthly to encourage an optimistic worldview, promote friendship and courage, and search for the Truth. Falling membership late in the century led meetings to cease.
