Biographical notes:
Elizabeth L. Tobey was governess and housekeeper for Edward D. Noyes at 85 Bedford St., Portland, Me., after the death of his wife about 1919. Tobey remained with the family until 1944 when Noyes died. From 1944 to 1970 she had an apartment on State St. in Portland.
