Biographical notes:
Sarah "Sallie" Rogers (b. 1842), graduated from Wesleyan Female College (Macon, Ga.) in 1859 and married Horace T. Shaw in 1862. Sarah's brother, James Henry Rogers and Horace T. Shaw served in Company K of the 5th Georgia Infantry Regiment during the Civil War.
