Biographical notes:

Established in 1856 by the General Synod of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church; 1955 synod founded Covenant College which shared a campus in Creve Coeur, Mo., and board of trustees; in 1964 college moved to Georgia and operated by a separate board of trustees; in 1965 a union was effected between the Evangelical Presbyterian Church and the Reformed Presbyterian Church in North America (General Synod) to form the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Synod and the seminary continued to serve as the denominational theological school of this church.
