Biographical notes:

The Office of Equal Opportunity Programs was created to coordinate a number of programs dedicated to fostering equal economic and employment opportunity for University faculty and staff. Mainly, the office coordinated the Emory University Affirmative Action Program as well as ensured compliance with programs related to the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act of 1974.
