This business was established by George S. Harwood and G.H. Quincy in 1862 as Harwood & Quincy. The name was later changed to Geo. S. Harwood & Son. The company, located in Worcester, Mass., specialized in textile feeding machinery. Information in the collection indicates that the company name was assigned in 1967 to Davis & Furber Machine Company and the company's assets were liquidated.
