Biographical notes:
Megan McDonald was born February 28, 1959, in Pittsburgh, PA. She received a B.A. from Oberlin College in 1981. Prior to beginning her writing career she worked as a park ranger, bookseller, museum guide, librarian, and storyteller. Most of her books are aimed at younger children, and she has received awards and honors for several of them.
