Biographical notes:
Kenyon Cooke was born in Calif. in 1924 and enlisted in the Army in San Francisco, Calif. in 1943. He had completed four years of high school and was single at the time of his enlistment. Cooke joined the 10th Mountain Division at Camp Hale, Colo. and served in Company D of the 86th Infantry Regiment, Headquarters of the 3rd Battalion of the 86th and with Company C of the 85th Infantry Regiment. He also served at Camp Swift, Tex. and in Italy attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. Cooke died in 1996.
