Wrege is an adjunct professor at Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. A fire on July 19, 1924 destroyed 58 GRRC passenger street-railroad cars. The company vice-president and general magager, Louis J. De Lamarter, continued operations by borrowing cars from Muskegon and Saginaw (Mich.). Twelve of the cars from Saginaw were former Bay City Traction & Electric Co. cars that had been in storage. (This information is from the collection.).
