Hogg foundation for mental health
Variant namesBiographical notes:
The Hogg Foundation for Mental Health was funded by a bequest from the estate of Will C. Hogg (1875-1930), son of Texas Governor James Stephen Hogg (1851-1906), and was established by his sister Ima Hogg and brothers Mike and Tom in 1940 to operate under the auspices of The University of Texas. Robert L. Sutherland directed its operation with advice from Miss Hogg from its beginning until 1970 when Wayne Holtzman became director. The foundation especially funds research projects in Texas that promise to pave the way for a new approach to an aspect of mental health.
