Syndicated cartoonist whose cartoons appeared in Rocky Mountain News for over thirty years. Spent time as a cowboy and used those experiences for characters.

Cartoonist, soldier, machinist, mule-skinner and cowboy; Williams lived at Walnut Creek, Arizona for many years. He had many comic strips beginning in the 1920s including "Born Years Too Soon," "Why Mothers Get Grey," "Heroes are Made, Not Born," but his most popular cartoon was "Out Our Way" which was syndicated all around the United States.
