Emma E. Hauberg, daughter of M. D. Hauberg and his wife Anna Margaret Frels, was born 2 February 1865 in Hillside, Illinois. On 16 November 1892 she married Albert Lyle Fairhurst in Boulder County. Emma and Albert owned and operated the Columbia Hotel in Ward, Colorado. She died in Ward on 30 March 1950 and was buried in Columbia Cemetery, Boulder.
