African American executive of evangelical organization; born Lemuel Simpson Tucker on February 27, 1952; graduated from College of William and Mary, 1977; completed master's degree at Westminister Theological Seminary, 1977; executive director of Voice of Calvary Ministries, 1979-1981; president of Voice of Calvary Ministries, 1981-1989; died 1989.
