Trueheart, James L., 1815-1882.
Biographical notes:
James L. Trueheart came to Texas from Virginia in 1838, settled in San Antonio in 1841, and became Clerk of the District Court. In September 1842, Trueheart was among the Texans captured by General Adrian Woll at San Antonio. He was imprisoned in "Perote Castle" (Castillo de San Carlos, Perote, Mexico), and released on March 22, 1844. Trueheart returned to San Antonio, and later was elected to County and State offices. He died on November 30, 1882.
