Biographical notes:
The Committee on the Baptist Faith and Message Statement consisted of the president of the Southern Baptist Convention and the presidents of the state Baptist conventions. The committee was appointed in 1962. Their task was to review and recommend revisions to the Baptist Faith and Message statement of 1925.
