Biographical notes:
Earline Cary-Williams was born in Baton Rouge, La., on August 20, 1915, and was baptized into Mount Zion First Baptist Church in 1931. She was Supervisor of Schools in East Feliciana Parish, La.; an English teacher at McKinley High School and Southern University in Baton Rouge, La.; principal at North Scotlandville Elementary School and Greenville Elementary School; Coordinator of Elementary Education at Southern University Laboratory School; and Associate Dean of the Southern University College of Education.
