Biographical notes:
The Health Program Office, under the Dept. of Health and Rehabilitative Services, was created in 1975 (Ch. 75-48, Laws) to replace its Division of Health. The Division of Health had assumed the duties of the State Board of Health in 1969 (Ch. 69-106, Laws). The Office is responsible for policy planning, program assessment, standards setting and monitoring, and other activities essential to quality assurance in delivery of public health services.
