Lawyer and planter of Chester, S.C.; member of S.C. Senate, 1844-1851; member of S.C. House, 1824-1831, 1842-1843, and 1862-1863; private and paymaster in Mexican War, 1846-1847, Palmetto Regiment, Co. B; son of Mark Eaves; 1815 graduate of South Carolina College.
