Biographical notes:
Biographical note: Merchant and amateur photographer; Leo Goldschmidt emigrated to America from Germany, and arrived in Tucson in 1878. One sister, Mathilda married Aaron Zeckendorf; another sister married J.S. Mansfeld, both were merchant families in Tucson and New Mexico. Leo worked at the L. Zeckendorf store before opening his own furniture store. He sold his store in 1888 and, with E.N. Fish, operated the Eagle Flour Mill.
