Organization founded in 1975 for the purpose of providing a forum for the discussion of issues relating to Mexican Americans in higher education. Often referred to by its acronym TACHE.

Other goals include promoting involvement of Chicanos in higher education through recruitment, retention, and scholarships; advocating change in legislation detrimental to education; and articulating workable solutions to educational needs and problems. Membership is open to faculty, administrative staff, and students at post-secondary educational institutions. Administered by an executive board consisting of a president, president-elect, secretary, treasurer, publications editor, and six regional representatives. Holds annual conferences and publishes a newsletter.
