The LMO has been giving concerts on Merseyside since its foundation in 1951. It fills an important musical niche, while providing a platform for emergent and established professional soloists and conductors. It performs a wide range of music from the baroque, classical and contemporary repertoire, so making a significant contribution to the rich cultural life of the Northwest. [from LMO website]
