Biographical notes:

Organ maker and repair company founded by J.O. Weaver in 1870; factory built and incorporated in 1882; discontinued manufacturing organs in 1917 and renamed Weaver Piano Company; company purchased by Wm. H. Worrilow in 1956 and closed in 1959. In 1929 employed 200 and made 45 pianos daily; by 1940, 100,000 had been sold around the world.
