Lucile Jennings (1930-2008) was well-known for her performance and instruction on the harp as well as her involvement with the American Harp Society. She also founded the Harp Repository for the American Harp Society and was a professor of the harp for thirty years at Ohio University. Upon her return to the States, she studied music therapy at Florida State University before moving to Ohio University in Athens. There she taught harp and music theory, while also managing the school library's listening lab.

Her dedication to the harp led her to found and create the Harp Repository for the American Harp Society (AHS), which is located in the United States Library of Congress.
