Author of "Selected poems" (1945); "The old ladies at Newington" (1953); "Masque for a modern minstrel" (1962); "Island trilogy" (1970) and "Adelaide sonnets" (1975). Editor of the literary quarterly "Expression", the official journal of the Writer's Guild of Queensland. Also published under the name L. Bladen.
