Cleveland, G.
Biographical notes:
G. Cleveland sailed to San Francisco aboard the bark Orion, which departed from Boston in November 1849 and was captained by Henry C. Bunker. The Orion traveled around Cape Horn and arrived in California in May 1850. Cleveland's Orion voyage is the same as that described in A gold rush voyage on the Bark Orion from Boston around Cape Horn to San Francisco, 1849-1850: a unique record based upon the journals of Foster H. Jenkins, Henry S. Bradley, Seth Draper and Ezekiel I. Barra (1978).
From the description of Letters to Mary Cleveland, 1849-1850. (Huntington Library, Art Collections & Botanical Gardens). WorldCat record id: 658901436
