"The Longest Yard", a 1973 motion picture with screenplay by Tracy Keenan Wynn and produced by Albert S. Ruddy from a story by Albert S. Ruddy, was a product of Paramount Pictures and was filmed in the vicinity of Reidsville, Georgia. Starring native Georgian Burt Reynolds, Eddie Albert and Ed Lauter, "The Longest Yard" became one of the box office hits of the season.
