Whaling vessel, out of New Bedford, Mass., mastered by Peter Garland (until his death 20 Feb. 1881), then Jos. G. Allen, then J.W. Lavers takes command at Teneriffe (29 Feb. 1881) on voyage 26 Oct. 1880-24 Mar. 1883 to the Western, Cornell, San Antonio, Steen, Coast of Brazil, Coast of Chile, and On Shore whaling grounds; owner-agent: William Lewis; built at Bath, Me., 1877.
