Griggs, S. David, b. 7 Sept. 1939, Portland, Ore, son of Jack L., Sr. and Frances Griggs (of Lawrence, Mich.), d. 17 June 1989, near Earle, Arkansas, mar. Karen Frances Kreeb. Rear Admiral Griggs was a veteran of the 1985 space shuttle Discovery flight.
