Montana Railway Company.
Biographical notes:
Incorporated in 1881 under the laws of Montana Territory, the company operated a line from Stuart to Anaconda, Montana, and spur tracks leading to copper mines on Butte Hill at Butte, Montana. It was deeded to NP in 1898.
