Opened in 1998 the 167,000 sq ft Dow Environmental Sciences and Engineering Building contains the departmental office, faculty and graduate student offices, environmental engineering research and teaching laboratories, multimedia classrooms, a student learning center, computer facilities, meeting rooms and many public spaces. It also houses the Geological Engineering and Sciences, and Biological Sciences departments to facilitate multidisciplinary environmental research (excerpted from http://www.cee.mtu.edu/facility/dow.html, accessed April 2011).
