Law Advocates of Ramsey County.
Biographical notes:
The Law Advocates of Ramsey County was organized in 1962 and was a local chapter of the Law Advocates of Minnesota. Its original name was Lawyers' Wives of Ramsey County and, following the lead of the state organization, they changed their name to Lawyers, Advocates and Wives of Ramsey County in 1981 and to Law Advocates of Ramsey County in 1991. The program of the organization, composed of wives of lawyers and judges, was similar to that of the Law Advocates of Minnesota. They concentrated their efforts on youth programs in St. Paul and Ramsey County, particularly aiding juveniles in trouble, supporting youth programs at Lino Lakes and Totem Town facilities and at group homes. The organization disbanded in 1999.
