Biographical notes:

Architect, active in Pittsburgh and Southwestern, Pa., was regional architect strongly influenced by turn-of-the-century progressive European architectural movements such as the Vienese Secession and the English Arts and Crafts Movement, and by architects such as Olbrich, Mackintosh, Baillie Scott, and Voysey. Under these influences, Scheibler developed a progressive manner that at times verged on Modernism. Specialized in houses, apartment buildings and "group cottages."
