Biographical notes:

Raymond Philip Morris, born in Garnett, Kansas in 1904, was educated at Baker University (B.A., 1925), Garrett Biblical Institute (B.D., 1929) and Columbia University (B.S., 1930 and M.S., 1932). He served as Librarian of Garrett Biblical Institute, 1931-1932 and of Yale Divinity School, 1932-1972. He taught Religious Literature at Yale Divinity School, 1941-1972. He received honorary doctorates from Baker University (1952) and Drake University (1965). He died in 1990.
