Van Selus (b. January 15, 1923) served with the 326th Bomb Squadron in Europe during World War II. He was shot down on his 13th mission and escaped from the Germans with the help of the French Underground.

Van Selus (b. January 15, 1923) served with the 326th Bomb Squadron in Europe during World War II.
He was shot down on February 8, 1944 during his 13th mission and escaped from the Germans with the help of the French Underground. After the war, he lived for a time in Pardeeville (Wisconsin) and eventually settled in Littleton (Colorado).
