Biographical notes:
The branch of the Weill family represented is that of Albert Weill (1867-1952): his wife Emma (1871-1957), their children Nathan (1898-1957), Kurt (1900-1950), and Ruth (1901-ca. 1975), Ruth's husband Leo Sohn (b. 1893), and Kurt's wife, Lotte Lenya (1898-1981).
Albert was a cantor in Dessau, Germany. Kurt is the well-known composer, and Lotte Lenya, the singing actress, his wife.
