From the description of Letter : to Mitchell Librarian [manuscript]. 1972 Aug. 3. (Libraries Australia). WorldCat record id: 222935451

This typescript does not bear the name of its author. It has some similarity to H.J. Stacpoole's address to the Royal Historical Society of Victoria on 17 Aug. 1965. This was published as The discovery of the Woods Point goldfield. Victorian historical magazine, v. 37, no. 1, Feb. 1966, pp. 50-72. While the similarities are sufficient to indicate that Stacpoole was the author of the typescript, there are significant differences between the two. The published article is a fuller account, especially in Chapter 4.
